How to perform

  • Stand tall in Mountain Pose. Shift your weight onto your left foot.
  • Bend your right knee and place the sole of your right foot against the inside of your left thigh, calf, or ankle. Avoid placing it directly on the knee joint.
  • Press your right foot into your left leg and your left leg back into your right foot β€” the equal pressure helps with stability.
  • Bring your hands together at your heart center in prayer position. For more challenge, extend arms overhead.
  • Find a fixed point to gaze at for balance. Breathe deeply.
  • Square your hips forward. Engage your standing-leg glute for stability.
  • Hold for 30 to 60 seconds. Breathe deeply and stay focused.
  • Lower your right foot and switch sides. Use a wall for support if needed.
