The step-up crossover is a step-up variation where you step up onto a box from the side, with the working leg crossing over the body to plant on the box. It trains the gluteus medius and adductors more than standard step-ups while building balance and coordination.

How to perform
- Stand with the right side of your body next to a box or bench (knee-height).
- Cross your right foot over your body and plant it firmly on top of the box.
- Drive through your right foot to step up onto the box. Stand fully tall on top.
- Step your left foot down to the ground on the opposite side of the box.
- Step your right foot down to follow.
- Repeat all reps stepping with the right leg, then face the opposite direction and switch.
- Keep your torso upright throughout.
- Use moderate-height box; progress as comfortable.
