How to perform

  • Stand facing a sturdy box or bench (knee-height).
  • Step your right foot up onto the box.
  • Drive through your right foot to push your body up explosively. As you reach standing, drive your left knee up to hip height (or higher).
  • Briefly hold the high-knee position on top of the box.
  • Lower your left foot back to the floor.
  • Step your right foot back down.
  • Repeat all reps on the right, then switch.
  • Move with explosive intent, not slow control.
